A Taste of Tuscany North of Siena
Tuscany is a riot of colors, sounds and aromas, a magical place for bicycling. In spring, fields are aflame with red poppies and pink begonias. Fall is harvest time when the air is rich with the scent of thyme, rosemary and fennel. Tomatoes hang heavy in gardens, and vineyards burst with purple grapes. Come bike the hills, explore medieval villages and enjoy the cultural and culinary wealth of this glorious land.

Day 1 Monteriggioni
Meet in Siena Enjoy a picnic of Tuscan treats at our hotel Warm up your legs with a spin to the hilltop town of Casole d’Elsa and explore the tiny walled hamlet of Monteriggioni, mentioned in Dante’s Divine Comedy.

Days 2-3 San Leonino
Traverse the rolling hills of Tuscany en route to inviting San Gimignano, renowned for its beautiful 12th- and 13th-century towers Take some time to shop and be sure to try the best gelato in Tuscany In the heart of the Chianti region, spin to San Leonino on a route that includes stops in charming hilltop villages such as Radda in Chianti, home of the Chianti Classico Consortium Sample local vintages during a wine tasting at a 15th-century palace and wine cellar in Castellina.

Days 4-6 curina
Pedal past the famous vineyards of Castello di Brolio, the castle home of the Ricasoli family, who created the original Chianti Classico recipe in 1874 Admire a quintessential Tuscan landscape of olive and cypress trees Cool off in our hotel’s sparkling swimming pool before dinner Pedal the captivating clay hills of the Crete Senesi and reward yourself with an extra slice of pizza in Asciano Bid farewell to the Tuscan hills on an early morning ride before shuttling back to Siena.
